10 Apps I Use Every Day To Stay Organized And Be Productive

Howdy, I’m a former Google engineer and now run my own consumer tech startup called Twos.

I spend most of my time developing software, communicating with users, and whatever else needs to get done as a small team.

When I’m not working, I’m reading, writing, and exercising.

These are the apps and tools I use to be my most productive.

I hope you’ll find a one to try or a tip to improve your productivity.

If I’m missing one you think I need, I’d love to learn about it in the comments. Thank you!

1. Twos

Twos is the startup I’m building, but it’s the hub of my productivity.

Twos is my one-stop shop to how I plan my days, manage tasks, journal, take notes, share lists, write blogs, set reminders, plan projects, and so much more.

Whenever I have anything I want to remember, I write it down in Twos.

Check out my latest blog to see how I organize my life with Twos:

2. Discord

We use Discord to build our community and communicate with our users.

It’s a wonderful way to gather feedback and provide quick service for our users.

Price: free

3. Gmail

I’ve been using Gmail since college.

I don’t use a fancy email client like Hey or Spark.

I don’t go for inbox zero or use tons of labels and folders.

I Star emails that I need to go back to and use a couple labels for follow ups.

Price: free

4. Chrome

Chrome has been my browser of choice since graduating college.

I used Safari before that and I’ve been tempted to use Arc.

Hot take: I prefer using a browser over individual apps for Twos, Discord, and Gmail, etc..

Price: free

5. Sleep Cycle

Sleep Cycle is the app I use to track my sleep and as a gentle wake-up alarm.

It wakes me up within a 30-minute window for an optimal wake up time depending on my sleep cycle.

I like knowing how well I slept and trying to figure out how I can improve it.

6. Clock

I use the clock app every day as a mediation timer.

I’ll do a 10 to 20-minute meditation session in the morning and in the evening.

7. ChatGPT

I still find myself searching Google more than I use ChatGPT.

I mainly use ChatGPT when I need help writing code or if I need some strategy input.

I’m sure I’ll start using ChatGPT more and more overtime.

Price: $20/mo

8. Google Calendar

While Twos pulls from my Google Calendar and serves as my daily calendar, I use Google Calendar when I need to invite other people to events.

Price: free

9. Calendly

I use Calendly to allow people to find time on my calendar asynchronously for meetings and demos.

Price: free

10. Aware

Aware is my daily habit tracker.

I’ve been using Aware for over 5 years.

I use it to track the food I consume, the people I talk to, the exercises I do, how much coffee I consume, whether I meditate, read, or write, and how I’m feeling.

It started as an Excel sheet, but one night I through a private hackathon in 2018 and I built the majority of the platform in one night.

Those are my productivity apps.

If you have any you love, that you think I’d benefit from, I’d love to learn about them in the comments below.

Thank you for reading and happy Twosday ✌️
